FEATURED BUSINESS OF THE MONTH FOR MARCH
BUD BLAKLEY LUMBER
CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT OF THE STROUD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The Blakley's have lived in Lincoln County for more than a century. Bud Blakley purchased his first lumberyard in Davenport in 1963 and then purchased White Lumber in Chandler in 1983; eventually consolidating both businesses in Chandler. Bud loved both the lumber business and building homes. To date, the Blakley family is responsible for building more than 2,200 homes in the Lincoln, Pottawatomie and Payne County areas. When Bud passed away in 2013, he left the businesses to his wife Sue Blakley and she carries on his passion for the community along with his son Skip Blakley. Sue says that the lumber business is way more competitive these days with the big box stores but enjoys delivering home town service. It's all about building a lifestyle and creating memories in the community.
